Well, it looks like the overflow of refugees being taken from New Orleans to the Houston Astrodome is going to end up here. They are refitting a huge warehouse on the old Kelly AFB (now called Kelly USA) to house them and they expect that to overflow too. I can't even imagine how they'll be living there. Absolutely no privacy, basic minimum necessities and they may even go without some of those. It makes me want to DO something. I have no idea what. Money just doesn't seem to be enough, but I suppose it will have to do for now. I have all these kids clothes since I just cleaned out the girls closets. But I don't know where to take them. The Red Cross is only taking money right now.

The insanity of this whole nightmare just seems earthshattering. Lord, have mercy.
