I want to write. I just can't think of much to write lately. And I never have time anymore.
Let's try some totally random thoughts.

-Mari has, several times in the last week or so, run up to me with her arms open wide for a hug and said "I love you, Mommy!" It is wonderful. But weird. She has never done this before. She doesn't initiate physical affection. Never has. And tonight as I was tucking her in bed she said "I want to you to kiss me on this cheek and then on this cheek," pointing to the respective cheeks. It was so cute, I just about melted. Then she pulled my head down and kissed my nose. What is up with her? I hope it lasts a long, long time.

-Zoe's ear is doing much better. She has not enjoyed the ear drops, but giving her a time limit and then letting her tell me when she is ready has worked. I'm pretty sure they don't hurt, just tickle and feel weird because she goes crazy right when I'm doing the drops, but gets over it in seconds. The only complaint she makes is that she can't hear when they are in. But her ear is clear and non-junky now. That was the weirdest ear infection I've ever seen. I'm going to take her in for a follow up next week, just to be sure everything is good. Maybe they will be able to tell what really happened now that her ear is cleared out.

-Luci's cute thing for the week: Her new favorite song is "Jesus Loves Me". She has been asking me to sing it over and over again for days. Yesterday she was sitting on my lap, facing me, and singing along with me and patting herself on the chest while she sang "Yes, Jesus loves me..." Suddenly her eyes got really wide and she quit singing. So I did too. I said "What?" and she patted herself on the chest and said "Jesus love me?" I answered that indeed He did. She giggled and jumped down from the couch to run around the house saying "Jesus love me!" She ended up at the icon of Christ which she then smothered in kisses. Got a little catch in my throat over that one.

-We watched The Phantom of the Opera tonight. Well, we finished it tonight. We started it last night, but neither of us can stay up late enough to watch a whole movie after the girls go to bed anymore. It was better than I expected. It was weird to hear someone other than Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford singing those songs, as I had the CD in high school and listened to it constantly and those voices are the ones I "expect" to hear. But it was not bad. I found myself tearing up, which I thought was a good sign. They could have done a LOT better with the Phantom, but it was not bad.

-I'm starting Herbalife. Should be here on Saturday. *sigh* I have avoided a "diet" thus far, but I think it is time to try one. We shall see. It sounds good. But don't they all?
