I got to sleep until 11:00 this morning. It was heavenly. Luci does not sleep well at night and after a few weeks of constantly interupted sleep, I feel at my wits end. It was nice to do some catch up. When I got up the girls were already getting antzy for lunch. While I worked on that, I set the girls up at the table with a montessori kind of sorting game. I put different kinds of dried beans and seeds in a bowl for each of them and then gave them smaller bowls to sort them out using a spoon. Since they were right there at the table, within arms reach of me, it never occured to me that Luci might do something very typical of her age...until, while I'm stirring soup, I hear her yell "Bean in nose, mommy! Bean in nose!" I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. How obvious was that one!! I gently eased out the bean and just as I got it out, she sneezed and out came another one. I checked her carefully and she assured me there were no more, so I hope that was it. I should have seen that coming from a mile away. *sigh*

We've been very lazy this afternoon. Brad went his 1SGTs to see his new car and the girls and I are just vegging. Brad is aching for a new car himself, and I just don't see how we can afford another car payment. We only have one at the moment for the minivan. The car Brad drives is paid off, but he hates that car. I understand how he feels about it, but I honestly just can't see how we can pull it off. He also really wants a sports car of some kind and all the cars he is drooling over don't even seat five people. Seems a little silly to me to spend that much money on a car that we can't even all fit in. Brad's 1SGt, Joel, was cute the other day, telling me it was his fault Brad wanted a new car so bad, as he was shopping for one, and I laughed and said I wouldn't mind so much if he would just look at cars we would all fit in and then Joel said we could easily all fit, as long as it had truck space. Brad would fit quite nicely in a trunk, he is so small. Hehe! It was a such a funny image, me scooting along in a cute little sports car with the girls, windows down, our hair in the breeze, singing at the top of our voices, and Brad tucked away in the trunk. He better be careful. If he up and buys such a thing, I just might try it!
