(no subject)

Mari has her first soccer practice/class on Monday. It is called First Step soccer and they don't really play any games, just do skill building stuff. I think they play mini-games at the end of the six weeks of "practices". I'm not sure. I hope she likes. it. They are taking team pictures next week, which totally confuses me since they don't have "teams". I don't know whether to buy one or not. If she really loves this and gets totally into it, I'll be very sad that I didn't get a picture of her first "team". But if she hates it...
Oh and I talked to her preshool teacher on Thursday, as she began wailing again as soon as I tried to say goodbye. The teacher said she stops crying right after I leave and has a great time. She is cheerful and energetic and loves to help. So, I'm going to try and quit worrying. I know she doesn't like being left there, I know she just wants her mommy around, but I don't really have the option of taking her out and it sounds like she is enjoying it as soon as she gets over her disappointment.

Luci can really ride her tricycle now! I'm so excited! She's been working on this everyday for six months. Her legs were just a little too short, even for the tiny trike her grandma bought her, so I'm not sure if her little growth spurt recently or her determination made this finally possible. Probably a little of both. She could go backwards, and even forward for a few inches until the pedals were even and then she would get stuck because she was pushing evenly with both feet. It was sort of funny to watch but it would make her soooooooo mad and she did NOT want my help. Yesterday, I was doing dishes and she and her sisters went out on the back patio which is where they ride most of the time because I can see them from the kitchen and I'm only a few steps away from them. I finished my chore and opened the door to go outside just in time to see her come tearing across the patio, pedaling like mad! I'm so happy for her, 'cause this was really making her frustrated.
