This seems to be the day for grumps. I'm a grump. Luci is a grump. Brad sounded decidedly grumpy on the phone. I don't feel a bit sorry for him if his grumps are due to exhaustion. He got up in the middle of the night, dressed all in black, and went out to spray paint a Navy anchor in front of one of the buildings on base. There are ARMED GUARDS out there people! He called it a "spirit mission" for the Army/Navy game tomorrow. This is the guy that spearheaded the "spirit mission" to steal the Navy goats his senior year at Westpoint and very nearly landed himself in jail. I'll have to tell ya'll that story some time. I've even got pictures and it really is entertaining. But anyway, I'm not feeling sorry for his grumps today.

We are supposed to go watch said Army/Navy game tomorrow at another Wespointer's house. He and his wife have six children and they homeschool. I just met her a few weeks ago and am thrilled to find another homeschooling military family so close. She kind of looked totally freaked out when she asked me what church we go to and I told her. It was fairly obvious in her eyes that Orthodox Christianity was...very foriegn to her. I'm afraid she has already written me off. She is some older than me, but seems sweet, though I have a feeling they are more...what word should I use?...perhaps "traditional"? disciplinarians and a more conservative type than I am. Doesn't mean we can't be friends, does it? I hope not. Ah well. Even if we don't hit it off, there will be other people there and I can always hang with the kids. It is what I usually do anyway.
