Today is Zoe's nameday. I just typed out a long and involved explanation of why we chose this St. Zoe, a relatively obscure saint, instead of the more well-known St. Zoe, and then lost it. I'm not going to type it all out again. If you really want to know, it is in the memories section under "important" in the last installment of Zoe's adoption story. I'll just say here that it is because the Martyr Zoe of Rome chose our Zoe. Today is also the day our adoption of Zoe was finalized, four years ago. If anyone knows where I can find a troparion for the Martyr Zoe of Rome, celebrated Dec. 18, which she shares with the more well-known St. Sebastian, please let me know.
