One Book That Changed My Life
This is tough. There are three that are pretty closely tied in their "life changing" capacity for me. So...to pick one...that is hard. I guess I'd have to say The Mountain of Silence by Kyriacos Markides. Although other books were more influencial in my decision to become an Orthodox Christian, this is the the one that shook the foundations of my worldview.

One Book That I Have Read More Than Once
I have about ten books I re-read about once a year. But the one that I often re-read more often than that is Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss. It entertains me with a lifestory and and worldview that is startlingly like my own and never, ever fails to challenge me to live a more Christ-like life.

One Book I'd Have On A Desert Island
This is impossible. I guess if I really had to choose one I'd say a really comprehensive Orthodox prayer book (half the Bible is in there). But a Bible would be a close second.

One Book That Made Me Laugh
Does this have to be an adult book? I laugh outloud at the Olivia books everytime I read them to my kids. I know a lot of Olivias.

One Book That Made Me Cry
Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. Sweet fluff. I sobbed.

One Book I Wish I'd Written
Hmm...I often feel a twinge of jealousy when I read C.S. Lewis's fiction. Especially his science fiction. Perelandra, with its overt Christian message that still manages to be interesting sci-fi amazes me. I have started at least 10 sci-fi stories in my life that I wanted to have a Christian worldview and I can never pull it off without sounding sentimental and naive...or something. So I guess that would be it. I don't really want to have written Perelandra, but I want to be able to write LIKE that.

One Book I Wish Had Never Been Written
The Da Vinci Code. Seriously. It has caused a ridiculous amount of confusion and consternation. I know there are more harmful books out there...way more harmful. For some reason The Da Vinci Code just annoys the heck out of me, not because it is so harmful in and of itself, but because of what people have done with it.

One Book I'm Currently Reading
The Boat of a Million Years by Poul Anderson. I've never read it before. I'm finding it a little boring.

One Book I've Been Meaning To Read
Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky. I keep starting it and never getting very far. I loved The Brothers Karamozov so I don't know why I can't read Crime and Punishment.
