Sep. 7th, 2007 08:17 pmWe went apple picking today. It was a lot of fun, even though it was brutally hot.
The orchard we went to was very picturesque and the view from the picnic area where we ate lunch was spectacular. High in the hills. Wow. I want to go back to get pumpkins and see that view when the leaves are changing.
I discovered that honey crisp apples are one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. I'd never even heard of them and am now wishing we had only gotten them and foregone the red and golden delicious and the mcintoshes. I was sceptical of the honey crisp and only got about 10 of them. They are gone now. Between me and the girls we ate them all this afternoon. Admittedly, they were somewhat small apples, but still...I ate two in row. I've never done that with apples in my life. I claim to not even really like apples. Yum. They were so good.
I forgot my camera which is total tragedy, because watching sweaty little girls bite into crisp, sweet apples with relish is absolutely adorable.
