I've spent a lot of today printing things out from the computer for use in our school work. Copywork and the grammar workbook pages. I think the online grammar workbooks I found will work fine, especially since they have the units broken up by parts of speech. That will work really well with the World of Language books by Ruth Heller. We will just read the appropriate book on Fridays during the time the girls are doing that unit. These grammar books and all the copywork are going to demand a LOT more writing from my girls than I've ever demanded before. Maria, I think, will be fine. She is totally ready for it. Zoe...I'm not so sure. This is a first grade grammar book I'm having them both work on at the same time, but Zoe has always been a very reluctant writer. She did not like being taught how to write her letters. She wanted to figure it out herself. Consequently, she does most of them wrong. You can recognize the letter, but bad habits have been formed and breaking them is not fun. She just does not like being told what or how to do things. It is sort of funny. She did not really like preschool, not like Luci did, but she didn't hate it. Her biggest complaint, however, was that they "made" her do things. Like play. O_o But if it was someone else's idea, it was not good in Zoe's book. She is a free spirit, that one. All my kids have their own drummers, beating their own beats. It makes for an interesting life.

Now I need to figure out how to store and use all these papers. Should I have them spiral bound? Should I just three hole punch them and put them in three ring binders? Should I get folders to hold them? I could get one three ring binder for both grammar and copywork, since they alternate in my schedule. That might make sense. I'm just not sure what to do with them. How will they be the most useful? We'll see. Suggestions welcome!

I need to go to the store and get some storage bins. Little ones for our school shelves, see through, and some larger ones for clothes and stuff. All the math manipulatives are jumbled together in one bin right now, mostly in individual ziplock type bags, and I have to dig to find what I want for math lessons. Not working for me. I need lots of smaller bins and boxes, all see thru, so I can find what I need fast. Any suggestions for storing card games? These are laminated cards from their math maninpulatives and most of them have too many cards for a rubber band. I can't figure out how to store them. Ziplocks, in one see thru bin labeled card games? Grrr...I'm so not good at this organization stuff.

I need to go buy myself some new capris and shorts too. Two of my favorite pairs of capris, what I pretty much wear all summer, have just worn out and gotten holes in them. I replaced one of them with some bermuda length shorts some time ago, but just yesterday my other favorite bit the dust. I hate shopping for myself right now. I'm just disgusted with myself. I wish I could wait, but I need to be dressed in SOMETHING, you know? I have lots of decent shirts, just not a lot to go on the bottom. I wish I felt more comfortable in skirts. I have several cute skirts.

Okay, enough babbling. I need to go do some dishes and figure out what is for dinner tonight. Thank God for Netflix when you have sick, stuck in the house kids. They are watching The Neverending Story right now. And they watched Charlotte's Web yesterday. Lots of movie watching going on around here.
