(no subject)

Well gee. Life just stays interesting. Never a dull moment around here. Right before we left for FL, my dad fell off a ladder and thought he sprained his ankle badly. While we were in FL, my mom told us they had discovered dad actually shattered his heel and will have to have surgery complete with steel plates and screws to attempt to put it back together. Attempt. This morning I called my mom at work and she wasn't there, so I called her cell and found out my dad went into the hospital last night with blood clots in his leg. Blood clots seem to be a thing with our family right now. My grandma was in and out of the hospital for several weeks about a month ago with blood clots in her lungs. I feel so bad for all of them, but right now especially for my mom. She is taking care of Grandma and my dad AND trying to work full time and take care of the house and yard and it just has to be so overwhelming. Normally Grandma does a lot of the housework, dishes, laundry, vacuuming, general clean up. Dad normally does 99% of the yard work. So she has all these added duties, plus the care of two invalids. And a full time job. And I don't know how to be helpful at all. I'm so bad at that.

If you have a moment and do that sort of thing, prayers for my dad would be great. He is NOT a happy camper right now. Heh.
