Brad and I are in Denver, house hunting. We looked at 17 houses yesterday. Found two possiblities. One very strong. We are going to look at some more houses this morning and then, hopefully make an offer on...one of them. Heh. And then we will go back home to our girlies who were not happy that we went house hunting without them. Zoe gave us a good size list of her "requirements" for the new house. I think the strong possiblity we have found fits the bill. I personally love it. The one big strike it has against it is that the back faces a very busy, four lane road. But that strike becomes not so hard to bear because the back also has a spectacular view of the mountains and the city. You can see it from the kitchen and den and from the master bedroom upstairs. And the back deck is gorgeous with, of course, the view. It is the only house we looked at with any kind of view. And it is a really unbelievable view. All the postives: It is beautiful, well maintained and almost move in ready, three bedrooms with a possible fourth if we convert the easily convertible loft into a bedroom. Living room, dining room AND den on the main floor and a nice updated kitchen. The basement is in the process of being finished, it just needs carpet, paint, and some trim work and Brad is actually excited about that because it is hooked up with hot and cold water lines perfect for a wet bar and he can make it into a rec/party room to his own tastes. There is lots of tile and hardwood on the main floor. The back yard is nice sized, the neighborhood chock full of kids, quiet and friendly. I'm pretty excited about it. But, who knows? In a few hours maybe we'll find something even more perfect!
