Aug. 13th, 2010 12:56 amThis afternoon's funnies for posterity. I should really do this everyday, I don't know why I don't. My girlies are delightful.
Me: Come on, girls! Let's do our history reading.
Zoe: Is it gonna be boring?
Me: I don't know. Is it usually boring?
Zoe: Sometimes. But not always. When there's fighting its cool.
Zoe's written narration on Socrates, complete with spelling errors:
"Socrates was a man. He was very wise. He did not believe in the gods. The pepel thought that he was teaching yong men not to believe in the gods. So they decided to kill him with a dedly poson. He enjoyed his last meal with his friends and drunk the poson and walked around until he felt sick and died.
And, Maria's drawing to go with narration has labels. She was inspired by the painting "The Death of Socrates" by Jacques-Louis David, and drew Socrates surrounded by his pals before his death. She labeled all his pals. The labels say "Socrates", "Plato, "Mike", and "Joe". (She did not show me this, I just took out her notebook to check her narration and found it and...I peed my pants a little)
