The picture post for which I know you've all been waiting with baited breath. Heh. Warning: There are a LOT of pictures in here!

Going way back here, to the cruise at the end of June. This is, of course, me standing on our ship stateroom balconey with Seattle in the background. This is the day we left port.

A veiw of Skagway, AK from our stateroom. This was my favorite stop. It was so picturesque.

This is the train ride we took up into the Yukon from Skagway.

Mendenhall Glacier. Very interesting and beautiful. It is really hard to argue against global warming when you are here.

Brad and I in Totem Bight State Park, Ketchikan, AK.

One of the glaciers in Tracy Arm Fjord. Unbelievable place.

The only decent shot we got of whale on our whale watching tour. This was a humpback whale and her calf. Very cool.

AFter we returned from our cruise, we took the girls to the ILs lakehouse at Lake of the Ozarks. This is Mari tubing with her Uncle Dane (one of Brad's brothers)

Zoe's rocks at the lake. She was going to build a wall, I think. She hauled all these by herself.

The girls with my sister's daughter Bennett at my parents' house

These are all from our recent trip down to Virginia Beach.

Oooh, Dama, I LOVE that first picture of you! I really really do :)

They're all good though. These kids get big so fast.

I'm a little torn about "modest swimwear". When I was younger and Annie was a baby, I didn't think twice about getting her a tiny bikini and thinking it was adorable. We bring Jake in the (private) pool naked. But as they get older...I don't know. The Duggars link on their site to this really, really frumpy and hideous "modest swimwear" that I feel like I could never punish my kids with. Yet, I am not at all comfortable with the idea of a teenage daughter in a string bikini/thong/what have you. Those ones you have on the girls look like a great middle ground. Lately when we've gone swimming A and A wear one pieces with a big inflatable ring built in, that holds them up.

Thank you!

I love those swimsuits. They are not only somewhat "modest", but they really, really cut down on the need for sunscreen! www.fishskins.net
The girls all have two pieces (tankinis), but they only wear them at home in the sprinkler or wading pool. Well, that is not totally true, they have worn them to the neighborhood pool here. But I prefer the sunsuits (as we call them) because of the sunscreen issue. Zoe and Luci burn easily.

Oh and as to that first picture, everytime I see it I just think "and...there's my big ole face..." It just looks so HUGE to me.
