mommydamaA blow by blow of my day.
Got up at 6:30am. Showered, dressed, woke up the girls, made breakfast (scrambled eggs with turkey/ham and cheese and apple slices on the side). Fed the girls and then hollered at them for 20 minutes to get dressed. Fed the dog and cat and gave the dog her meds in between hollers. Brushed hair where needed, found socks and shoes where needed. Loaded girls in the van and dropped them at my sister's house about 8:45. Went to the doctor. She was a good one. Got new 'scripts and lots of renewed confidence. Picked up the girls (well, okay, I chatted with my sister for few minutes too), dropped off 'scripts at the pharmacy, came home about 11am. Did school stuff with the girls for an hour, fed them lunch (frozen bean and cheese burritos and cucumber slices, weird combo I know, but it was about all I had), and then finished school with them. At about 2pm, we loaded in the car again to go to the gym (I had to shave my legs first, ugh). I picked up my 'scripts on the way. I worked out while the girls played in the very cool child care center. This is the second day in a row I've gotten to work out there and I love it. Love it. Totally love it. At 3:15 my sister came up and met us at the gym with her two kids. They are not members, but I get lots of guest passes. So we took the kids swimming. At 4:30 I coaxed the girls out of the water, showered them complete with shampoo and conditioner and discovered we hadn't put Maria's ballet stuff in our bag. So we ran out of the gym, drove home too fast, grabbed it and she changed in the car for her 5:15 ballet class. The girls ate granola bars in the car too, since swimming makes you very, very hungry. Maria loved her new ballet class, it seems like a good one too. Class was out at 6pm. I have almost no food in the house, so we went to Chick-fil-a for dinner. And had ice cream for dessert. Got home about 7:30pm. The girls popped in Maria's new movie, High School Musical (she bought it with her birthday/christmas money, yup). They wanted popcorn and they got it. The microwave kind. I'm a sucker for popcorn and a movie. I let them watch until about 8:45 when Brad called and they all chatted with him. As they finished their turn talking to daddy, I sent them to put on jammies and brush their teeth. Tucked Zoe and Luci in bed and then Maria read me some Dick and Jane. She loves reading those silly stories, I think because they offer very little challenge. It is now 9:45pm and all appears to be silent...oops no. Luci just came out complaining of a hang nail on her big toe. I clipped it. We'll see how long she is quiet this time...
I'm going to load the dishwasher and then watch some HGTV and probably fall asleep on the couch again. Good-night all.
