I've been reading a LOT lately. I noticed a few days ago that when I finished a book I felt a bit panicked until I remembered I had another book waiting for me. When do I find time to read, you ask? Because technically I shouldn't have any time to read. I steal it here and there. Mostly after the girls go to bed. When I could start thinking if I didn't start reading. I neglect housework and read instead. I'm not sleeping well, so I often read far into the night. Insomnia has struck again. Anyway, I've been reading mostly trash. I need some good stuff to read, something that will challenge my brain a bit, but still entertain me and take me out of myself. I did read Snow Flower and the Secret Fan about a week ago and really enjoyed it. Not great literature, but very interesting. I tend to like the exotic lately, things that will take me completely out of my life. Good sci-fi, fantasy, and novels of cultures far removed from my own. Any suggestions? I've gotten good suggestions here before.
Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. We must do some school in the morning and I have to clean out the van for the trip. It is a bit of a mess from all the running around to classes and eating snacks in the car we do lately. At 1:30 we have Zoe's and Luci's dance class. Then we are going swimming with my sister and her kids at the gym. We can bring them once a month. And at 7pm I have to go to Maria's soccer parent meeting. Her cousin (my sister's daughter) is going to be on the same team. I hope the turns out to be a good thing. So tomorrow will be busy and I need to sleep. I'm coming down with a cold or something again and have lots of stuffiness and drainage and I just don't need it, ya know? Very annoying. I wish I could take a sleeping pill or something. But with just me here with the kids, I don't think drugging myself to sleep would be a good idea. All I can think of that I have in the house that might help me sleep in camomile tea and I HATE camomile tea.
