That is all so interesting! I also come from a Baptist/Brethren background, and I have loved Christ for as long as I can remember... but for the past few years I have been searching for something 'more'... something that I do not see in any of the Protestant Evangelical churches around me. I believe I have found that something in Orthodoxy... you are right, after that first taste, it's like there is no turning back.
I am still waiting for my husband to embrace Orthodoxy, as it is my desire that we are 'together' in this, so it may be awhile before we're chrismated... and I have no idea how my family will react. They will probably be very confused. :)
