My parents bought me a down comforter for Christmas, but I never got a duvet cover for it. Now, moving into a new home and redoing my life in major ways seems as good a time as any to find one. But I'm remembering why I never did it before. I'm impossible to please.

So I'm looking for something unique, kind of exotic, lush and luxurious, possibly Indian or Moroccan inspired, with deep, rich colors. Bohemian maybe? Something to go with my Klimt prints and make me feel like I've entered another world when I go in my room. I have some dark purple and sage green stuff that I'd like to keep (for curtains and pillows and such) so those colors need to be in it or blend with it. I've found a couple that I like...one by Natori that is not only apparently discontinued so impossible to find, but way out of my price range:

Here is another, from Crate and Barrel that I think I like, but not nearly as much:

So I need suggestions of where to look. I like patchworks too, if they are in velvets and silks and just generally lush and sensory.

I had to google what a duvet was.

I still don't get it.

Why does one need whatever it is in addition to the down comforter, which I assumed would suffice on it's own?

Domestications.com has a big variety of sets for you to look at.

Good luck - you may end up sacrificing what you already have - using it in another room perhaps? - to get the look you want. Those greens change just that much to make it impossible to match them.

I want to find a bright, pretty one, too. Ours is dark green, which, I didn't realize at the time, really darkens a room. Trying to be patient, since we do have a cover, so it isn't a "need", but a "want".... Hope you can find one you like!

why don't you just buy a cheap one that you only kinda like so you don't have to be rushed into buying the perfect one? do you have an Ikea? you can look online at their stuff but I think there is a bigger selection in the stores. did you try eaby (my fav) or etsy?
