mommydamaOh, I totally forgot I wanted to write this down quickly before I forget.
Last night, we all sat down at the dinner table for a very simple meal of a salad, with fixin's like stuff on the side for everyone to add as they liked. After everyone had taken a few bites, Zoe (just turned three yo, in case you didn't know), looked up and said, and I quote here "Thanks, mom, for this good dinner!" Mari (just turned four and not to be outdone apparently) pipes up with "Yeah, mom. Thanks!"
I almost fell out of my chair. I've never even taught them or instructed them to say something like that to me! Neither has Brad, in my hearing. I looked up at him and he was literally frozen in the middle of bringing his fork to his mouth, eyes wide. He gulped and said "Yeah, umm...thanks, honey. Good job, girls! That was a very nice thing to say!" It was a truly hilarious moment.
*sigh* Out of the mouths of babes...
