Picture of Mari's haircut

Random picture of Mari's new haircut. She looks adorable actually. I like it much more than I thought. Now see, a four year old can be wiser than her mother...sometimes.

We went to the Greek Church today. Just for fun. And to see about Sunday School. I forgot it was the beginning of summer. Today was the last day for Sunday School. But I did find out that Mari is old enough for their vacation bible school, which starts June 6th, so I found out how to register her for that. I hope she will actually go. I wish Zoe could go with her because I think they would both actually do it if they could go together, but they have to be four.
I had been impressed with the Greek Church when we went there for Pascha. It has grown on me. I was a little taken aback when at the Paschal Liturgy, suddenly a choir in traditional robes and an organ appeared. Prior to this all I'd seen were chanters. But the organ and choir were there today too. I don't think it is anything new. I don't have a real *problem* with that but I must say it causes some cognitive dissonance for me. My ears hear something different than my nose is smelling and my eyes are seeing. Hard to explain, but I got...confused.
The Eucharist cleared my confusion right up though.

Date: 2005-05-23 05:20 am (UTC)I sure wish we had a local Greek Orthodox church. I would have to travel over an hour to get to on down in Atlanta and I'm not prepared to do that.
