I'm on a picture taking kick lately. These are my little babywearers-in-training...

(I don't know why Zoe is scowling like that. She was grinning from ear to ear in the shot before this, but that one turned out blurry. And they were outside all morning with the sidewalk chalk so they have chalk all over them and look windblown and they wearing some interesting ensembles, but I still had to post it. Heh.)

You are so blessed, Dama, to have yourself surrounded by such beauty all the time.

I love their outfits :)

I know. Sometimes I have to stop and catch my breath because I'm so overwhelmed by them.

I'm feeling especially...grateful...today after reading about [livejournal.com profile] babyslime's recent loss.

my favorite part is how mari has a skirt over jeans. that's a very hipster thing to do!

Luci's skirt is over pants too. Only hers are cargo style pants with elastic at the bottom. She would fit right in...somewhere...I'm sure.

Apparently my daughters have shared their sense of fashion with yours.

Oh, is that where they got it? I was wondering.

I seem to take a lot of pictures lately when my children look like "nobody's child". They really don't look like ragamuffins all the time, I promise. Really.

In another few years, you will lose all control over what they wear. It's part of the age 5-7 thing, wherein girl children think they know more about fashion than their mothers. When I think about what my children wore to church...
[embarrassed]

Oy.

I gave up and decreed that certain clothing would be worn to certain events without question: ie church, homeschool co-op, bed... Most of the time I win now, but the youngest will be eight soon and I think the "finding my fashion identity" phase is passing. Then again, The Eclectic One will probably spend the rest of her life looking for her look.

Hey, are you okay? Not to stalk or anything, but you haven't posted in a while, and I got to missing you.
