I am a Diapering Diva
Oct. 29th, 2003 02:36 pmI do believe I have tried every diapering system known to man. I have used disposables, of course. Tried every brand, I think, including the organic ones. When Zoe was 10 months old, spurred by my friend, queen natural mama, I tried cloth diapers. I did a lot of research online and still ended up trying every cloth diapering option there is. Old fashioned prefolds with pins and plastic pants, velcro and snap wraps, All-in-ones, etc. After Mari came and Brad left for Iraq, cloth diapering just died. I couldn't keep up with the laundry with three of them in diapers. But I have missed it. My kids have had horrible rashes since I started back on disposables, something that was practically non-existant when we used cloth. And I hate constantly running out of disposies and running to the store for more. Recently, I started wondering if I could go back to cloth. So I'm trying it today. And I have decided to use my favorites, Fuzzi Bunz, exclusively(isn't that a fun name! And they are soooo cute!). Even though it means spending some more money to buy more, I'm hoping I can sell all my non-favorites on eBay. I truly love cloth diapering. I feel good about it. It is good for the environment, good for my babies, and looks cuter in my opinion. I used to love to let Zoe run around in her old fashioned, pinned diaper without a cover to let her butt breath. I was so adorable. Some of my favorite pictures of her are in it. She is getting really close to potty training too, so I may only have one baby to diaper soon. I think I can handle the laundry load now. Thsi entry is probably boring to most of my friends. I never imagined diapers would be so interesting to me. But with all the options out there these days, it is kind of fun! So if any of you have a baby soon...you just might receive some Fuzzi Bunz from me...and maybe I can convert another mama to cloth diapering!
