(no subject)

We are back from Chicago. I'm still digesting this experience. It was nice to see my sister Michelle's home. Nice to see my BILs parish and kind of get a small picture of their lives. The Greek Festival at their church was fun. I feel like I really got to know my niece, Nina (13 mos), and my nephew, Gabriel (3 yo). Fr. Mark (the BIL) took me to two monasterys, a women's and a men's, both in Wisconsin. They were short visits, but long enough to shake me up a bit. This is the part I still need to digest. I feel like there are some really big things happening inside, but I don't know what to do with them yet. Or how to explain them. I miss Brad terribly. He is who I want to talk to about all of this.

The girls are doing really well. They have survived all the car trips and are being real troopers about it all. I think they are starting to really miss their daddy and Zoe has mentioned going home several times. I'm hoping another short trip to the lake will distract them...and me.
