(no subject)

The girls are running around on the front porch with Amelia and Ethan (kids from next door). They are making a ton of noise, but no one is crying so I thought I could sneak away for a minute. Oops...no such luck. Zoe is calling me, saying "Mommy, watch this!"

Okay...I'm back. I have a whopper of a headache today and no idea what we are going to have for lunch. Maybe we should go get lunch and eat with my mom at work. Yeah...I like that plan.

Oh and this is the inspiration I'm going to use for shopping for our new living room furniture and decor. You can't see it very well, but I saw this episode of Divine Design once on hgtv over four years ago and I fell hopelessly in love and I still remember it and went looking for it yesterday and there it was! I'm very excited so if you don't like it...don't tell me.

Mari's tooth came out!!!!

I guess that means we are officially in middle childhood now, huh? Weird. I got all teary eyed looking at her snaggle-toothed grin. I'm glad it came out though. It was just barely hanging on all day and I was so afraid she would lose it in the night and swallow it. My mom found one of our old tooth fairy dolls for her. Well, it isn't really a doll, it was a perfume bottle from Avon. Mom bought my sisters and me each one when we were kids. She is some kind of hard blue plastic/ceramic stuff (I called her the Blue Fairy) with a glow-in-the-dark wand. The wand has a star on the end. And her other hand is held out in front of her with a small pouch-like purse hanging from it for the tooth to sit it. The pouch is exactly the size of a quarter...that dates it quite a bit, eh?

How much are teeth going for these days?
