"Conservatives" more generous?

Kind of interesting. Just so you know, every political quiz I've ever taken has put me right smack dab in the middle on a Republican/Democrat scale. Sometimes slightly leaning to one or the other, but it happens to be Democrat as often as Republican. Usually those quizes that take the "right to life" issues (abortion, death penalty, euthanasia) or "green" issues into consideration have me leaning more one way or the other depending on what issue they weight more. So...I am a "conservative" in many ways (religious, nuclear family, traditional gender roles in my household though I don't have a problem with untraditional ones), but as far as American politics go I don't always fall on the "conservative" side of those. Just pointing that out so none of my more left leaning friends think I'm pointing fingers at Democrats by posting this. I just found the issues interesting.
