I feel like I should write something since it has been days since I've updated. I should have all kinds of lovely vignettes about my kids saved up. I'm having a terrible time thinking of them now.

Zoe says she is never getting married or going to college because she doesn't ever want to leave us. We told her that was fine, she could stay with us forever if she wanted, but Brad looked a little panicked. Heh. Last night she, in her silly drama voice and with a big grin, told her daddy that she was "Sooooo sad because you are in love with mommy and not me!".

And that is it for me. I'm brain dead. So here are a couple of pics.

The girls in their Kiss Me shirts from my MIL. I love that they don't say "I'm Irish" because...well...they're not. Hehe! But St. Patrick's day is a big deal to Brad and I both since we are both Irish, at least a little bit. And I just LOVE St. Patrick's story.

I just loved this one of Zoe for some reason.

I just can't get over that SMIRK on Luci's face. What a ham!

She is that. At least she didn't cross her eyes this time. Around Christmas every single time you asked her smile for the camera, she grinned huge and crossed her eyes. Eeegads that was annoying!

I also LOVE the smirk. Sheesh that kid is cute. THere's a special kind of cute reserved for those kids who push us so hard...

You know, I don't think my kids have a single solitary piece of matching clothing? ...A and A DO have "cooresponding" homeschool shirts, hers is tiedyed pink and his blue. They never wear them on the same day, though - I guess it just never occurs to me to have them dress alike. But lately totally out of nowhere Ananda keeps talking about me getting matching stuff for her and the new baby, and how awesome that would be with "her sister". She's pointed things out in stores, asked me to make them things, and so on, at least 5 times in the past month.

I wish we had caught that smirk a slit second sooner when it was bigger and the dimples were showing.

My girls have a lot of matching clothes. I'm a little weird about it actually. It is very important to me that they at least coordinate when we go out in public. My mother has decided that it is because I'm desperate for people to see them as a group, as sisters, as a family. Like today, I took them out to play at Mcdonald's playplace (it is sooo cold here, we had to get some big energy time!) and they didn't match. More than one person commented on what good "friends" they were. The girls are quick to inform people that they are sisters and it ALWAYS surprises people. They look at me in confusion. When I dress them alike, we don't get those comments. I think people assume we are a family when all three of them dress alike.

OMG, your children are so beautiful, and they look *so grown up*. I can't believe how much they've grown since I started reading your journal.

I love Lucy's smirk too.

Thank you! They ARE quite huge. Mari says we need a new baby now. We don't have any babies left. O_o Having her baby cousin here over the weekend did it, I guess. Everytime she says it Brad looks like he might be sick....

Lovely pictures! :)

Hannah was tickled that she's wearing her hair in two braids today, like Maria's.

Luci is still convinced she can grow her hair out like Hannah's. I really don't know how I feel about that. I'm working on growing out her bangs again, at least. But Luci's crazy flyaway hair down to her waist? Not sure about that...

Hannah's hair is also pretty crazy. It's about twenty-seven-million different lengths, which was driving me crazy this morning when I was trying to put it up for gymnastics. She's no longer agitating for short hair, which is good, as I might cave and cut it. I would cry afterwards, though. ;)

Personally, I think Luci's short hair really suits her. :)

Carmeli has hair a lot like Luci's (but less, since she's littler). I bet now, really long hair would be out of control. But I bet they'd both have really pretty wavey or curly blond hair when they're older.

I don't know. Luci has hair exactly like her birthmother's. And even as an adult her birthmother's hair looked like it was constantly full of static. I mean sticking out from her head in every direction, wild and crazy. It never looked like it had been brushed, but I SAW the woman brush her hair numerous times.

I think Luci's hair will always be a little wild. It suits her. :P

I love the swing picture of Zoe.
The matching shirts are so cute!! I always wanted a sister so we could dress alike! Never did have one though!

Thank you!

I had two sisters and I don't think we ever dressed alike. Odd, that. I could so easily fall into the trap of dressing them alike ALL the time. I have to fight that inclination.

They were my two favorites from the batch. I need to print them because I find myself sitting here staring at them for long periods of time. Trying to see them as other people see them, wondering if I see them they way they really are or if my own issues get in the way of seeing them clearly. Wondering why Mari always slouches, why Luci makes faces for the camera, why Zoe never looks as beautiful in pictures as she seems to be in real life. Mari is by far the most photogenic. It isn't that she doesn't look pretty in person, but sometimes pictures of her surpise me because she gets captured in her "best light" so frequently by the camera. But Zoe never looks quite right to me in pictures. People make comments on Zoe's beauty, randomly, in stores and on the street. But it never comes out in pictures. The swing picture seems to catch a little of it.

Way too much pondering over a couple of pictures.

I think it is cool that you are comtemplating them so much. I do that very occasionally over a picture that seems to capture one of my kids in a light that I am not use to seeing them.
