Pascha pics

I realized I never posted any pictures from Pascha. We didn't end up with many good ones, but here are a few.  


Here are the girls dressed in their Pascha white dresses for the midnight service. Last year, the priest at our church in San Antonio talked about the ancient church tradition of wearing your baptismal clothes or, if they don't fit anymore, all white to the Pascha service. He encouraged us all to revive this tradition. I'm doing my best as I love the symbolism of it. I was wearing all white too, but I'm not posting a picture of me. 
 

These next two were just cute. 



 

We had a traditional family Pascha basket to be blessed for the service too, with bread and cheese and meat and butter, etc, but the girls also got Easter baskets. This pic is the girls with their baskets after they woke up Sunday "morning" (It was almost noon actually). They all three look totally stoned in this picture and I laugh outloud everytime I look at it.

Brad's grandmother and mom worked together to decorate those baskets for each of the girls for their first Pascha/Easter with us. I love them.

It is! Hehe. I bought them last year and they won't fit next year, I'm sure, so I'm debating buying Mari a bigger size and passing them down for next year or trying to find something different and dyeing these for use this summer. They are soft and comfortable, like nightgowns, so if they crash during the service it is all good.

I love those dresses-- with the leggings-- how cute. and their baskets with their names on them...pretty! (I also like how the puppy snuck into the pic!) the girls looked beautiful-- wish you would have posted one of you with them :)
