I'm putting off starting school this morning because my girls are coloring so happily together that I cannot bear to interrupt them. When they start screaming at each other, which will happen soon, I'll distract them with school work. Heh. Unfortunately, that makes it seem like school is a punishment or something. But that isn't usually how it works. Usually it is more like a "you are bored and so are fighting with each other, lets solve that problem." *shrug* It works.

We are leaving on Friday to go to Oklahoma for my grandfather's 90th birthday. It is going to be sort of a family reunion on my dad's side of the family. Most of my cousins on that side will be there with their kids. I haven't seen most of them since my grandfather's 80th birthday, when we had a huge party for him. It will be interesting I think. I hope it will be fun. This time there isn't going to be a huge party, as my grandfather is in a nursing home now and sometimes doesn't even recognize his wife. He is still so sweet and funny though. He just hugs on all the great-grandkids and says "I don't know who you are, but I know you're mine!" I will miss him so much when he is gone. That time seems to be rapidly approaching and I'm so glad we are doing this reunion.

"I don't know who you are, but I know you're mine!"

I love this. Just imagine how much more our creator in heaven loves on us because God does in fact know who we are actually knows us even better than we know ourselves, not only knows our past and our present, but also knows our future.

I'm always amazed at how well redirecting works with children. It's so simple, but requires a degree of patience, attentiveness and creativity on the part of the adult.

I agree, that is a sweet line and something to remember about God, thank you Hoffac! Wow! I'm writing that down.

And, enjoy your trip and Happy Birthday to your Grandfather!
