I need comments.

I've never been so needy in the comment department before. I haven't been commenting enough on other's blogs, I know. It is definately a reciprocal thing here in LJ world. Which makes sense...I'm just feeling comment needy today.

So...in order to generate a discussion as I seem to be desperately in need of one, ask me a question. Be anonymous if need be. I'll do my best to answer it.

I am cranky and feeling fat.

I read all the time and I am sorry I am not a big commenter.

Do you know any books that quote Desert Mothers/Early Church Mothers? I am just finding (and that was hard to do) lives of Desert Mothers/Early Church Mothers and though I am sure they are interesting I want to read their words. I am guessing though that most of them were too busy to write.

PS I am proud of you for asking for what you need. You are awesome.

Gosh...early church mothers? That is a hard one. I have an excellent book about woman saints, one of those hard bound big ones that look really overwhelming. But quotes? Early ones? That is hard. I'll look and see what I can find.

Thank you, by the way. You are awesome too, my friend!

I found a couple of books I wouldn't mind reading about church mothers but really sometimes I just can't stand the pushing of women's issues. I just wish that there were books that were just neutral. You don't usually pick up a Church Father's book and think...Hmmmm I wonder what it says on men's issues but you get that with almost all women's books.

I am still cranky and still fat and ate chips so I am even fatter./whine

I have this feeling I know of some books that are actually writings/about church mothers but neutral. I am moving and half my books are in boxes, but I should look them up.
