I want to discuss this with someone. But I really have no one to watch it with and talk to about it. Any takers?

Putting aside all the complex and confusing issues brought up in this short film, it was hugely exciting for me to see Madre Ines and the Hogar Rafael Ayau again. And to hear her speak her mind unashamedly and without editing. I love her.

I will for sure watch this tomorrow. Livejournal is loading so slow for me tonight. I tried to watch it once but some error happened a few minutes in.

Have you been reading about the corruption reports that are coming to light by Erin Siegal blog(findingfernanda.com)? And the whole Anyeli/Karen Abigail case?

I had not heard about either of those cases, but as I am reading about them now, they are no different than many others I've read in the last few years. This issue is so complex and confusing for me. Of course, there needs/needed to be reform in international adoption and in Guatemala. But this documentary brings to light some of the harms that are being done by slamming the doors while those "fixes" are made.

I want to watch this when I have some time, too... thanks for sharing.
