More fears

Luci, my 10 month old daughter, is afraid of the lion puppet in the Baby Newton video from Baby Einstein. I don't get it. Everytime the puppet comes on the screen she screams. She doesn't want to look away or have it turned off though. If you try that she really cries. If I hold her she grips me with both hands full of my shirt and will periodically bury her head in my chest, but for the most part watches with a morbid fascination punctuated by little shrieks. It is hysterical!

i think it was a teletubbies video, but my friend lisa's daughter, ann, was terrified of this pink house on the video. she'd watch it until about ten minutes into it and then run into your arms saying "house...house..." and you'd have to turn it off, fast forward past the house, and start it again.
lisa had no idea why. the only thing we could come up with was that she had a bad dream about the house.
